A big thanks to Mike Hewitt from 2WheelSpors for organizing Joachim Parbo's great CX clinic at the River Road Country Club here in Louisville last night. The weather was very "crossy" and with about 30 of the bravest (or dumbest) CX'ers in the area showing up in the rain to learn some sweet new skillz Joachim had is work cut out for him. We started with decending, fall away turns on mud and practiced setting up for akward turns . Clearly this was not CX for beginners. Everyone took turns and got both group and personal corrections. We worked dismounts, remounts, sand, turns and a bunch of small little things in between. Personally, the remount tips were a huge help. Of course, watching Jaochim demonstrate a dismount/remount is hard as you can't really see him get off and back on the bike - it's that fast and smooth. Everyone was smiling and nodding by the end. I think everyone improved on something and had fun getting CX tips from one of the best in a muddy field. I hope the rain continues. See you all this weekend in Cincy!
