1st Annual Harbin Park International Cyclocross Clinic, featuring 2x Danish Cyclocross Champion Joachim Parbo, and benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Assistance from 2007 OVCX Elite Series Champion and A2 Coach Ryan Gamm, and backup from members of the BioWheels/Reece- Campbell CX Racing Squad. The idea is to get a 1 to 7 ratio of instructors to participants, with a limit at 30 participants.
Honed over the years on the European World Cup circuit, Joachim will demonstrate and discuss:
- proper dismount and remount technique for barriers
- tackling tough sand pits
- riding the bike in the off-camber and tight twisties
- run-ups and shouldering techniques
- high-speed and low-speed turning
- technical discussion on equipment, such as tires, brakes, gearing and more
- cyclocross bike fit
- race-day strategy
You do not need to have a cyclocross bike to participate, a mountain bike will do fine. Instruction is geared towards beginner to intermediate riders.
All participants will be awarded a custom pint glass at the finish! All proceeds benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
