OTTER CREEK CHALLENGE 8-hour AR at Otter Creek Park Brandenburg, Kentucky (just south of Louisville) Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008 Pre-race briefing and dinner Friday night Disciplines: Mountain biking (mostly singletrack, some gravel and paved roads); paddling (river, flat); trekking; rappelling; climbing (non-technical); challenging navigation throughout. Course will be entirely ROGAINE-style, meaning you collect as many points as you can in 8 hours. You decide which CPs to visit, in what order, and by what means. Good strategy and solid navigation will be key to beating the Otter and winning the coveted "Golden Otter" trophy. Teams: Open to soloists and teams of 2, 3, 4 Registration: $75 per person, includes race, dinner, wicking race shirt, waterproof maps, insurance, and one heckuva view of the Ohio River Canoes/Kayaks available for $20 per boat Lodging available in group camp (primitive cabins) for $15 per person Climbing gear available for $5 per person
