OTTER CREEK CHALLENGE
8-hour AR at Otter Creek Park

Pre-race briefing and dinner Friday night
 
Disciplines:
Mountain biking (mostly singletrack, some gravel and paved roads); paddling (river, flat); trekking; rappelling; climbing (non-technical); challenging navigation throughout.  Course will be entirely ROGAINE-style, meaning you collect as many points as you can in 8 hours.  You decide which CPs to visit, in what order, and by what means.  Good strategy and solid navigation will be key to beating the Otter and winning the coveted "Golden Otter" trophy.
 
Teams:
Open to soloists and teams of 2, 3, 4
 
Registration:
$75 per person, includes race, dinner, wicking race shirt, waterproof maps, insurance, and one heckuva view of the Ohio River
Canoes/Kayaks available for $20 per boat
Lodging available in group camp (primitive cabins) for $15 per person
Climbing gear available for $5 per person

Prizes:
We'll have some cool signature gifts for winners, in addition to gear from our sponsor The Extreme Outfitters in Carmel, IN.  They specialize in AR gear, so be sure to stop by if you have any questions about what to wear or carry during the race.

Volunteers:
If you're AR-curious but not quite sure if it's for you, come out and volunteer.  You'll get a great behind-the-scenes introduction to the sport.  We'll feed you, put you up in a group cabin for the night, and give you a great wicking race shirt as a thank-you!
