Webguy just called from course set-up to give me a little overview ... I thought I'd pass it along to y'all. He was fairly winded (WALKING - and he's in good shape!) ... so here's what I caught between heavy breathing: Holy crap, this is going to be so much fun (insert slight maniacal laughter) ... there's an evil turn right by the pond, people will be swimming ... lots of hills .... climbers course.
That's really all I got - he had to stop at the top of the hill and catch his breath. Then his phone died.

Are the directions to the venue on 2wheelsports.com correct? It looks like the directions to the park from last year's race to me, but I'm completed unfamiliar with Louisville.

WebGirl was right, I got winded walking it. It's everything you would expect from the evil course designers on BikeClicks.com/Team Louisville. Very technical, lots of up and down, pretty much all off camber and super fun. I don't think I got out of the little ring once. It reminds my of Wendell Moore but harder.
Getting there is easy. Taylorsville Road to Old Heady Road. It's right off 265 on the east side: Google Map of Fisherman's Park |

That is ok, every race needs a last place.

Yeah there should be a nice split in the field. Just try to enforce sandbaggers to wave and say hi as they lap us!

There is a Tim Johnson listed in cat 4.
Also apparently he switched teams, I bet Stu is going to be pissed he is not with cyclocrossworld.com anymore!

Thanks for making the drive! It was a great day and a big part of that was the number of racers that showed up. It made all of the work that went into this race well worth it to have a good turn out and competitive fields.
I know the Louisville guys will repay the favor and be traveling to the other races. |

Hey there is only one in Indy. We really have to develop some more races. 1 is too few for sure. I am sure there would be plenty of spots to race besides brookside park.
not in a hurry, (seriously) but will results be posted?

I could be wrong, but I think there was confusion on the start line of the masters 1-2-3/3's race. I could swear I remember Boris calling up masters, and some masters-aged 3's rolled forward. If this is true, some people 35+, but registered as 3's started 1minute ahead of the rest of the 3's, but were scored w/ them. Can anyone confirm this to be true or false? Basically, masters had 2 digit numbers and 3's had 3 digit numbers (starting w/ a "2"). I think there were some people w/ 3 digit numbers starting 1min up on the rest of us. Not positive, and not accusing. Awesome, fun course. Anyone know where pics will be posted? There were a lot of people out w/ nice looking cameras. |

That's OK, I don't mind everyone knowing that I crashed. But looking at the pics it appears that I'm not the only one that lost some skin in that corner....
Thank Jessi for sharing the photos.
