I can't find any info about this race other than it being listed on the OVCX site. Will there be race schedule/directions/registration info available at some point? I'd like to drive up from Nashville and do this race to kick off my season, but I can't get any details. It's only three and a half weeks away. Anyone know anything? |

| I believe they're still working out the details of the race. It was at Tom Sawyer last year, but it was too expensive to have it there again from my understanding. So they're looking for another venue. |

word from the Louisville guys is that it is going to be at Fisherman's Park - just off the Gene Snyder on the SE side of town -
Google Fisherman's Park, Louisville, KY and it pops right up.

| I think we are out of luck. No home team advantage here. |

I think the "final" course will be setup (flagged) on Saturday before the race. I haven't been to this park, but a couple of the local CX guru's rave about it. I'm hoping to pre-ride it since I understand it's a lot of cool topo changes over the park and could be setup to be very technical. |

this course will separate the men from the boys. if you thought last weekend was bad, that would have been a walk in the park. pot holes and straight up and straight down and oh yeah watch out for the lakes. this will be a brutal race. i can honestly say i am not looking forward to this one. molnar |

Just a little concerned that Cat 3's, 1-2-3 Masters Men, 1-3 Women and Juniors will all be on the course at the same time at 12:45. If the turnout is as decent as Loveland, there will be 75-80 racers on the course at the same time. Might consider rolling the Masters out for a 1:30ish start. |

Or, roll the 3's out at noon with the juniors at Noon.

The format used at Loveland seemed to work pretty well.
combine 3's and 17-18 juniors,
Combine the Master's and stagger the start of the women behind the Master's -
I also am concerned about having too many on the course - (not that it wouldn't be fun to race in a big field) - but at Riverview - they had a hell of a time keeping track of 35 in a race---- 80 or 90 would be almost impossible to keep track of without several refs (like they do at USGP).

The first turn will certainly be a trick coming off the slight downhill after the start. Kudo's to whomever layed this beast out. Lotsa off camber turns, lotsa sweeping sections followed by another off camber followed by hills. The ground is rock hard bumpy!
I picked a couple of excellent high speed entry points directly into the ponds so who knows.

| I just got my Jamis Nova Pro on tuesday, yesterday was the first CX experience I've ever had and it was out a the fishermans course. Very cool. Lots of tight turns. I love the roller right before the backside road, right next the the lake. That will be interesting this weekend. Ground seem VERY hard and bumpy, I was rolling 80 psi my first lap and it was brutal. Dropped it to 40 and it was much better. |

| Does the course change from the lower level classes to the elites like in Loveland? I was thinking about the big run up in Loveland. Was curious f this happens on other courses. |

| It depends on the course. Last season most of the courses where the same for everyone. That said - I've seen promotors do that before. |

From Mark Luking: 2wheelsports and the new BikeClicks/Team Louisville racing team have joined forces to present a entirely new and very unique CX venue at Fisherman's Park this Sunday, Sept 28th. The course will be a virtual rollercoaster ride wrapped around several scenic lakes. Lots of off-camber terrain and a couple of well place barriers, including a green "mini-monster". We will be cooking up several kinds of burgers, including beef, turkey and veggie, along with "fixings", a selection of chips and a soft drink for $5.00 starting at noon. The only thing that isn't co-operating is the weather. Sorry no "epic" conditions like Wendell Moore last December, just sunshine and 80 degrees! Bring the wife and kids, cowbells and join in the fun! See you all Sunday! Mark Luking |
