| Scariest ride I have ever been on! Kids zipping this way and that way. People stopping on downhill corners. Other than that, it was fun.... |

| just be sure not to stare directly at Mare Jare's head if you get caught in his shadow. Retinal damage is no joke people. |

| Word on the street is the Cubans are gonna bring home the gold. Although I disagree since I believe all the road crossings will be a full on critical mass free for all and therefore giving no real advantage to blasting through red lights and stop signs. The ones you really need to watch out for is the glazed over ironmen and women still trying to finish the bike leg of the race. Triguys in to their 27th hour of riding can be very unpredictable. |

| Donna and I, and a friend of ours will be there. We'll be on silver Lemond Reno road bikes--our friend has a blue Schwinn hybrid. If you would spot us, say hello, welcome to ride along with us if you want. |

I saw the mayor at Cyclers Cafe a couple of weeks ago. He seemed like a regular guy. I thanked him for the effort he's put into the Louisville cycling scene. He seemed deeply touched (not really, I was about the fifth guy who said hey to him). Why his gender preference should be a topic of discussion here is beyond me, you hater gators. So I ain't dissing the mayor, but I'm not going to join him tomorrow. I've put in a mere 45 miles this weekend, so I'm aiming to get 20-30 in in the AM before the weather gets hot and the honeydo's starting raining down on me. |

| I actually enjoyed the ride. There was no 34 mile route like was listed on the website, but I ended up riding down to Shawnee on the Riverwalk to fill out my ride. The only time the road was really crowded was at the starting line...then it pretty much thinned out. I only stopped once in Iroquois because I had needed to pee since we started. I'll probably do these things more in the future. |

This was the first time we've skipped it. We had a little TOO much fun at the football game yesterday (except for the actual football game itself). The beginning usually is sketchy, with the large crowd and unexpected stops, but the rides are usually good. I really like the Memorial Day ride this year because the route was quite different than times past. Was today route strictly out to the park and back? |

| There were two options, but the only difference was whether or not you went across the 2nd St. Bridge or not. I did. There was a little bump out through the parking lot at Churchill Downs, but it was a mostly straight shot from the Waterfront to Iroquois and back. |

Man did you call that one Rusty. The Cuban's brought the entire team. I ended up with them along with a guy from Twinspires.com. We eventually just dropped back from them since it seemed like us just being there was making the Cuban's take stoopid risks. When they passed the "rolling closure" police truck on the left I knew it was time to stop.
So, for what it's worth - the Cuban's took gold, silver and bronze....but it's not a race.

So, did they jump in at second street bridge or Iroquois park. |

| That's funny. This time they actually started the ride with everone else. If only they could harness their powers for good. |
