Any major brand of tent can be good. I would look to try to get a tent with good airflow. There's nothing like a tent that won't cool off in our hot and muggy summers (last summer I camped in a dreadful tent on a windless night...in Senegal, West Africa...miserably hot). Winters here aren't that cold so I use the same tent year-round with different sleeping bags depending on the season.

I have a MSR Hubba and plane on getting the Hubba Hubba this summer. MSR also has the Mutha Hubba for more people. MSR makes great stuff and this particular model only uses one pole so it is VERY easy and quick to set up but they are more on the expensive side. Nice thing about this model and some of there others is that you can set it up using just the tent, tent and rain fly, or just the rain fly as a shelter.

Best tent I've ever been in is my Walrus. Unfortunately they got bought out by I think MSR, who then just absorbed all their technology, and killed the brand and their lineup. If you see one on eBay though, they are good. I like it tons better than my $400 North Face, the zipper/pole/material/seam/screen quality is just obviously much better.
