I get to go watch the Brasstown Bald stage of the Tour de Georgia again. I will be in Brevard NC this weekend so I'm driving over to ride my road bike up the mountain to watch the race. Anyone else heading down that way?

Gonzo. Did you ever have to use the little ring in front on that hill? I was down that way last August for a weekend road race. The race didn't go to Brasstown Bald although we drove up it after the race.  The car we was in dropped into bulldog and I still  I to get out and push (lol).  I was amazed at the number of cyclist in that area. I hope to go back later in the year.

I didn't have a little ring. I had a 39-26 which was not low enough. I recommend a compact with the lowest gear you have to climb that sucker. I mapped my route that I rode that day on a web site (link below). I had ~2800 ft of climbing completed before I started up the mountain. I don't see how the pro's do it. 85 miles before they start the climb and they fly up it.

On the making of the link.......paste the link before you type your reply. That works for me. I also hit the "add reply" button instead of using quick reply.

{a href="webaddress"} Text for link {/a}

When really doing it replace the { and } with < and >.

This should work for posting links just about anywhere online.

Here's the link
