Just got off the phone with Hammer Nutrition and if you didn't know it.  1/2 scoop of their whey protein and 1 1/2 scoop of heed mixed in 8-12oz of water is equal to a serving of their recoverite.  So if you have both you can save the effort of buying recoverite for a recovery drink after workouts.  If you don't eat within 1 hour after you workout they recommend you having a 2nd drink.

I started using whey protien after my workouts.  I've read alot about it and everyone says it works great, not some snake oil.

whaaaat? No way can that be good stuff. I tried to give that big ole jug of strawberry whey I had and you said no so I threw it away. I wonder what happened to that nasty trek recovery drink that I accidentally stole from Morgan. I don't remember throwing it away, it probably mutated into an old louisville hobo and stole your cross bike.

I was buying body fortress whey from krogers but it was rotting out my gut and causing me to stink up the entire southend so the wife said "NO MORE". I had to quit using it and went to the more expensive but better ingredient hammer nutrition whey. It tastes horrible compared to the body fortress but the air quality is much better around me now. LOL

I use the Body Fortress, I wonder if that's why I have been fouling up the air more lately. I never thought of that. Good point Rico.

I like to drink about two beers post ride. Usually while sitting in the shade, and smoking a cigar. That seems to really help me recover.

H2O works well.

It does but it doesn't help repair or build lean muscle mass like a 4:1 ratio of protein and carbs.  It also helps with reducing soreness after a hard workout.

I did a search on the body fortress protien and it appears to rot out the guts of many a athlete.  If you have a girlfriend you want to move out.  This stuff will do the trick, trust me.

Isn't that what food is for? I actually like PR's recovery method better than anything I've read so far.

I drank a whey protein and milk mixture after a ride today.  I was very gassy a couple of hours later.  I hadn't drank any in a few days and no gas.  I really believe Rico is right about the Body Fortress making extra gas.

The body fortress fart maker mixture is no joke. I'm having better luck with the Hammer nutrition whey. I'm also taking in about a 1/3 the amount. I"m taking in 2/3's scoop of the hammer while fart fortress recommends 2 full scoops. No wonder I was azz sneezin 24/7.
