| Thanks to all who came and raced and to those who volunteered. All things considered, it was a pretty good turnout, we were fortunate that the folks at Otter got everything cut out, powered up and ready for us. As a team, we learned a lot this year and next year's race will reflect that (and I hope no hurricane will slam us the week before).
Be sure to give Dulin a big wet one next time you see him cuz that boy busts his butt to make so much of what we enjoy, (relating to 2 wheels anyway), happen here in the KY. I would say, all in all, we have a pretty great MTB community. Hope to see yall on the trail soon. |

Big props to the Ateam for a great race. Even as Ike tried to bi#ch slap our town you couldn't stop the madness. If you rode Otter just the day before you would know how much raking the A-team had to do. Results from the race and the final series standings will be up soon. Any word on Keith Lucas? also there was a Scheller's rider who looked like he may have broke his clavicle. I saw Keith's first crash man it was violent. and I think I heard his second crash behind me. I didn't see it but he was on my wheel on a descent rolling around 30mph when I heard the unmistakable sound of carbon meeting dirt followed by aaarghhs and mmmphhhs. |

| Got Keith home around 6 from the ER. Looks like he was lucky all things considered. Has a mildly seperated shoulder , elbow is jacked up and a banged up leg and just generally sore as h3ll. He said the first wreck ripped his saddle off the rails so he grabbed some caution tape from the course and tied the saddle back to the rails. Was hauling the mail and was catching back up and passing people and his pedal struck something and the high speed lawn dart was on. |

This scene of SuperFan helping the beener back to the finish after he had his 17th flat got me all choked up. It was a beautiful moment in race history

| I talked to travis (scheller's rider from lexington) he had ice on his shoulder but seemed to be handling the pain pretty well, he said he wasn't sure if it was broken or not. |

I was very impressed with how well the trails were cleared. Thanks to all who put in the overtime to make sure we had a great race course. |

That course was fun racing in that direction. I liked the new single track as well. No doubt a lot of work occured clearing the trail. What happened to the single speed class? It was mentoned at the start of the sport class and there were single speed racers there, but they seeemd to have gotten intermingled with the sport class? Or forgotten? |
