that's the super-fan. he has been showing up to most KY races lately. Playing music on a boom box in the middle of the woods and cheering for riders.
There was always a guy like this in Iroquois Park during the ky derby festival mini-marathon ... always dressed up in some crazy duds - yelling, screaming, singing - cheering runners on. You never really knew if he was totally plastered or just crazy (or both). But the wading pool? and the grill? Super-fan totally takes it up a notch - crazy iroquois man could learn a thing or two.

| RJ suggested we raise some money for superfan. Maybe we can ask promoters to include a "donation" check box on the registration forms so we can help offset superfan's gas and beer bills. (and maybe even send him to a Pantera concert) |

he went down just after the sharp 180 degree turn to the right coming down from Cochran hill. He made it through the turn a little wide and washed out in all the dust and I think his face met with one of those two stumps that are sticking up right there.

hey everyone. Patrick (ghostbiker) is taking it easy at home, doing great! they stitched him up real good and hes developing black eyes now, but i think its all gonna heal nicely. thanks for all of your concern! and that cochran hill joke was NOT funny!
