| Anybody attending this?? (Is there another string about this race?) 5 mile paddle, 15 mile mtb, and 10 miles of trails and gravel to run. I'm doubtful that I could turn this under four hours. I'd be really depressed if I came in after the awards ceremony and picnic lunch. |

| PR, I am probably doing this, but due to a little lack of training motivation it will more than likely be the sport version. Running ten miles after that would be brutal, but I'll do it if you dare me. |

| I can't imagine running ten right now. Or running ten in August either. Still, I can't hardly help myself. Kinda like a moth to a flame or something. 5 mile boat-1hr to 1hr15min, 15 mile mtb-1hr30min, 10 mile trailrun-2hrs?? I don't know if I can make that 4hr cut, real deal. I'm planning on going though! |

| To be clear . . . there is no actual "cut off" for either race. I don't expect many, if any, will finish the extreme course in four hours (by the way, I'm glad you realized that I had those two reversed on this post - the extreme course starts at 8 and the sport course starts at 9). I just didn't want the sport course finishers to have to sit around waiting a long time for their lunch. The picnic and awards for the sport course will start at noon. Awards for the extreme course will be no sooner than 1 p.m., I would think. |

Duh, I thought this thing was at the end of August. The 30th or so. I'm doubtful if I'll be able to run 10 by the 2nd! Oh well!
AB, if you (or any kymba folks) end up doing this, I've got a spare kayak if needed. It's a 10' pungo. No 10' boat is superfast, but a pungo runs out suprisingly well, probably the fastest 10'. (Alot better than those otters that we were on at Mammoth Cave). Just let me know, and I'll throw it on the truck when I head that way. |

| You will need a mtb for the bike leg, which will be on singletrack and gravel and paved roads. The bike leg will not be on Caney Loop, which is the traditional mtb race course, inasmuch as that trail has been decimated by horse traffic. |

I just registered. Hope that I can finish this. And that I'm not last. (However, finishing last is a hellava lot better than not coming in.)
Anybody that wants to use the pungo, just post. |

Since about the end of June I've been on a new training regime;dark beer. Bet I've gained 4-5 lbs right in the middle of summer. I'm razor sharp.
AB, are you attending? What about you DHays? Mag71?
Roll call.
I dread this. 10 mile run. (Snicker.) That's me.
I'm not sayin I'll be taking baby steps, but if I make it in, ya'll should bronze my shoes. |

| I was informed by the better half that I have prior committments that weekend, so I guess I am sitting this one out. I am in a little bit of a funk right now anyway, so I haven't been training for it. Thanks for the offer on the boat Paul, maybe I'll dig out of this whatever I have and see you at the next one. |

| Hey MEK! We're having a seniors retreat at Cave Run tomorrow morning. (You get your AARP discount) I think that there might be a few spaces left if you want to come down. |
