Some of you may have been aware that I put together a trail map and conditions page. The site that was hosting it got hosed (sound familiar?) so Jason Reser has been kind enough to host it on his shop's webspace. The new site is still a draft and needs some work, but I think it will actually be much better.
I went back to the GoogleMap API which will give me a lot more functionality to add some kewler features. One of them already added is the new "Terrain" maps button. CHeck it out, when you zoom in on a trail now, you can actually see its elevation.
The conditions reporting is still the same, so hopefully you guys will start using it when we all start riding again.
For my next trick, I will be working on letting users enter trails by clicking on the map to make trailheads...

Can you add some trails in eastern and south-eastern ky so that we can enter trail conditions. Here is a list to start with:
S-Tree (DBNF in Jackson Co) Turkeyfoot (DBNF in Jackson County) Caney Loop (Cave Run) Buckskin (Cave Run) Iron Furnace (Cave Run)
Also can you add a southeastern region. Laurel Lake, S-Tree, and Turkeyfoot would be southeast and the Cave Run trails would be in the east.
Thanks for all your hard work. Your site will be a great utility if its used. With gas prices this high it sucks to drive to the trailhead and realize its too mudy to ride. |

| I've said this a few times already, but I'll get my cave run map out and give him some information whenever I remember. I'm on spring break this week so hopefully I'll get around to it. |

Shane et al, If you guys want trails added, I will need to know the locations of the trailheads by their Lat/Long point or you can use Google Earth to point them out yourself, then send me the export file to ericoneal(at)gmail.com. Thats the quickest and easier way, if not, I may be able to pull them from mtbr.com or something. I've made some new additions to the map: --You can know get driving directions to/from the trailhead by clicking on them --There is a new search box in the lower left side to search for things like hotels, gas, food, etc.. Give it a try. I would also like to start getting some pictures and trail descriptions as well.... |

The map has now been updated with Eastern Kentucky trails thanks to Shane. If anyone has GPS tracks for these or any others, that would be great.
I have also made the icons look not-so-crappy.

Some more updates:
The Eastern Kentucky trails should now be back in, I didn't notice that they have been missing.
Most of the Louisville trails and Sal Hollow now have pictures and a description in the callout balloon. You can hit the "+" in the upper right of the balloon to maximize it and view them. If you guys have any pictures for other trails or want to write a description, send me an email.
