Even horses dope. AP) - A subcommittee of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has unanimously recommended an anabolic steroid ban in horse racing throughout the state. The recommendation, announced Wednesday, would prohibit horses from racing under the influence of steroids. It closely mirrors the national model rule proposed by the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium. At least 10 states have approved the model steroid rule, though Kentucky has remained a high-profile holdout. The recommendation will now go to the Kentucky Equine Drug Research Council, which could edit the language of the proposal before sending it to the KHRC for consideration. KHRC executive director Lisa Underwood said she hopes a steroid ban will be on the agenda at the commission's next meeting on Aug. 11. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved |

| I'm going to put everyone in the pain locker at the Cherokee race. Mere mortals do not have the lungs nor legs to hang on my wheel. When the race is over everyone will know I'm the greatest mountain biker alive. |

I think the best part of cyclist and drugs is that something is done about it. It's not like other professional sports were a blind eye is turned. If you do drugs and get busted you pay for it. I think it's great. It makes cycling look bad in a way but then again it shows that we are true athletes and the man won't let us cheat and get away with it. I watched the tour until 11 last night, WTF has happened to me.????? |

| I don't like VS coverage of the tour. It seems like a nonstop commercial, instead of race coverage. |

Totally agree Rico, cept for some reason, cycling seems to have the bigger black eye from doping. Waht's happened? Well, lets just say you dont have to worry until you start wearing one of those little cycling caps under your helmet. Next thing you know you'll be moving to the Highlands with a guy named Sven. |

This is probably going to have an effect on you expert guys. Instead of the track, you'll be hanging at truckstops.
