| Not a MTB ride today but still one of those rides where you constantly find yourself smiling (except when sweat is rolling into your eyes) First WOW was WOW it is friggin' hot when I was riding from my house up toward Brooks road. Next WOW, holy crap climbing Brooks hill really really sucks (I hadn't done it in a while) at the top I turned right onto Holsclaw and it was like someone turned a whole kennel full of dogs loose I got chased on 3 separate occasions and for those who ride up there you aren't up top too long. Anyway the 3rd WOW moment was when I started down Holsclaw and MAN is that fun I thought, oh yeah this is why I rode up here nothing like flying down that road, completely shielded from the sun by all of the trees, it is awesome and you can really fly through those switchbacks. Anyway 20 something miles and a gallon of sweat later it was a great ride, I can't wait to punish myself and make it up there again, next time I may just climb Holsclaw and then turn around and come back down. |

I would have had to change my shorts after going 58mph on 1/2" wide strip of rubber tire, ha ha. I think the fastest I have ever gone is mid 40's which seemed like I was friggin' flying. I dont' know where that road is, I need to do a little looking around on google maps, if you could shoot me a link to the road I would really appreciate it. Thanks Pat |

If weather predictions hold true for Saturday (rain), I may be riding a Jeff Mem. road ride Sunday morning. 0% chance of rain that day and low 80's for a high. Took the wife out there a couple of weeks ago and it was sweet (well, as much as a road ride could be). There are some cue sheets for Jeff. on this site: http://www.kybikerides.org/ I'll post again later. |

Eric
This is defiantly the weirdest thing you have ever
posted. It is even worse than the time you called the police because you
believed space aliens ate your cat. (I always believe you admit to that
one being a practical joke, but there still has been no confession)
At any rate, Jefferson has always been my favorite hill to go up and down when road riding in the forrest. The forrest is the best place to road ride to improve mountain biking in my opinion. I need to start riding out there again on the road.

That deer rack is on my wall at home and I was standing next to it and my wife had a camera and was like turn and look at me, SO I did and that was the pic.. LOL

I agree 100% about Barrelton Hill. On paper it looks no worse than Mitchell Hill, but Mitchell Hill is (relatively) easy and Barrelton Hill would be descending into Hell except it's going upwards. I've yet to even try going up Pendleton Hill. That looks like a very serious hill. |

Another torture vote for Barrelton Hill. Maybe I read Eric's cue sheet wrong or something as I did not experience nearly the same "joy" of agony on Pendleton Hill as the Mitch or Barrel. Or maybe I was just too worn out to notice I was climbing again. And Rico, you are such a stag. |
