Anybody riding this?  I intend to ride alittle, and I'd welcome some folks for a paceline!

Sounds like it may be a wet morning though. Dave, does this event have a rain(out) date?

6:45am-Monsoon rain. Am I going to this?

7:00am-Rain stops. All junk on truck.

7:20-Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit w iced coffee.

7:30-There's actually fools out here. Good deal.

7:50 Not that many I know though. Damn, it's cold.

8:00-Away we go.

9:00-This biking is good stuff.

10:00-I should've done the century route.

11:00-Where's the real food?? I'm going to hit a grocery store.

12:00-Creep is as ugly as ever. That peanut butter sure looked good though.

12:15pm-Man, the sun is great. I should bail out and go home.

12:30-You know, I could've rode that 19 mile route in an hour this morning, and I'd be at home on the couch right now.

1:00-Where is freaking Dave and the crew when you need them? God bless a paceline. Where's the London crew? I've pulled for twenty easy. Can I just walk the last two?

1:20-70.2 miles at my truck. And sunshine for the last two hours coming in. Damn, I needed that. Thanks to the London tourism crew, and to Dave for getting this off the ground.

See you folks next year. I plan to actually get a few road miles in before doing this again!

What ? you actually rode that far?

I can't believe it, usually for you to ride that far on a bike  a kayak or some sort of trail running is involved.

I'm sorry I missed it though, I was actually looking forward to riding it.

  I agree Paul.  Were was all the locals?  There was some locals that I have never seen. (I ask where they where from)  I know Dave Hays was racing.  Rodney, Alice and Frank and Carrie was only regular riding locals.  There was 22 riders showed up for the ride.
  I had fun at the rest stop. The older guy working it with me was Delmas House.  He was my neighbor for 29 years before I moved.  Delmas is a member of the church we was at.  He hasn't missed a day of Sunday school in 43 years.
  I think a organized ride could be big in London if it is later in the year. The weather forecast  scared some riders away.  I got a great sunburn on my head.
