Well, since the old info is gone, I will post again. Its all good. Makes it look fresh. :)

www.redbudride.com

This is Londons Inaugural Century ride, and the metric century and century are NOT for the timid. Its challenging, and then some, but that is the draw.

I have worked on the committee to get this ride off the ground for about 6 months, and just found out that we have regionals that weekend and so I wont be able to do my own ride. :(

But hopefully some of my Kymba brethren will be able to come ride in my stead.

Enjoy the photos, I was riding the tandem with my wife and trying desperately to hang on to such hammerheads as Dave Hayes and Keith Cottongim. So stopping to snap a photo on a climb usually resulted in a painful chase that I could only complete when they took pity on my and stopped. :D

Is anyone on the site thinking about doing this ride?  It should be a nice ride.

I think I've got about 60 road miles in so far this year. I should have fresh legs for sure.

Dave, I could'nt pull up the routes from the website. Could ya send them to me at my prtc address? Thanks.

Will there be convient places to bail (and covertly sulk back to London??!!!)?

Well, Dave Sutton is supposed to be sending me the turn by turn on the ride.

We decided not to post it on the site as, unlike the Tour De London, where we want everyone to be familiar with the course and come and pre-ride it, this one we want to keep under wraps so people dont come down early and do the route, then not show up for the event.

I know it sounds funny, but the route is actually the product we are offering. But I have no problem sending it out to locals as they request because we assume they will come on event day either way. When I get the route from Dave I will forward it. There are a lot of turns in the 101 miler but nothing you and I havent ridden about 50 times in the last 10 years.
And bailout? Hell the route goes within about 5 miles of your house at the midpoint. We post signs for a mid point bailout and take em right to your living room.
Loretta got plenty of cheesy-poofs on hand?

hey Paul,

I am in Columbia, and your e-mail address comes up automatically on my other computer when I type in the first 3 letters. So naturally I have long forgotten the complete address. Can you e-mail me at grigsbyd@lindsey.edu and I will shoot you the routes. I just got them via e-mail from Dave Sutton.
Thanks buddy

Anyone on here planning on riding this?????  I doubt if I've got enough legs for the century, so I may do the middle distance. (Probably closer to a 16-17mph pace than a 18-19mph pace too!)
