I know its Easter weekend but there will be some great racing and riding in southern KY this weekend. Saturday is the Mt. Victory road race in Somerset and the mtb trails at Laurel lake are in super shape. Everyone thats sick of waiting for the trails to dry out should bring their road and mountain bikes down south for a full weekend of riding.

If the weather stays the same here I am going there. Shane can you give us a trail report friday morn. or fri night. Im off for 4 days and gotsta find some dry dirt

I don't know if I'll be down there again before friday. The trail drains really well and it will still be ridable this weekend unless we get a monsoon over the next few days. I'm definitly doing the road race on saturday but don't know if i'll be able to ride sunday. My wife let me know this morning that we are going to her grandmothers for easter. I can't argue with a pregnant woman. If I get down there on sunday I may see ya.

It looks like we're going to get a couple of inches of rain tomorrow. If it clears back off (and the wind blows awhile), I'll likely do a night ride at Turkeyfoot on Friday. Or maybe at the lake if I can still afford the gas. I'll try to get ya'll a conditions report up.

Paul - I'm heading to Pulaski Co. on Monday to meet with some of the guys from the Cumberland Cycling Club. Do you know any of these folks? They apparently have a new trail project going on Lake Cumberland - I don't know what the schedule will allow for, but I'd love to squeak a ride in if the conditions are good.
