Hope everyone is doing well
There will be a trail work session at Cherokee Park this Saturday. We hope to finish up the two berms on the kymba downhill and do some general trail tread maintenance, etc. along the entire run. We will meet at the Archery Range at 8:30 and walk up to the work site (although I think Marvin and Bob may get there earlier). Officially, the work day will wrap up around noon, but feel free to come and go as you need to. We will provide tools, snacks and water, but it's supposed to stay very hot this week so I'd encourage everyone to bring their own camelback. Also, feel free to bring your own hand saws or loppers if you have them. We may need a couple extra. We'll post updates, but feel free to send any questions my way. Thanks in advance. |

It would be nice to have about 15 people. Lottsa shovels.
Remember Ladies and Gentlemen, this is our backyard. Even last night there were probably 8-10 riders that went past us old guys as we sucked air pushing the broken dolly and trailer up the hill from Maple rd full of huge boulders. Several stopped to help and it was greatly appreciated.
Like I said, This is our backyard. We need lots of help. Everyone comments on how fun the KyMBA downhill is but, wait until you see what Bob B has planned ............ SAWEEEEEET! Be a part of it. Nothing makes riding more fun than knowing you played a part in building it.
I would challenge EVERYONE that rides Cherokee to at least offer 1 or 2 hours to improve this section. |

Bob or Marvin, One of you guys got my curved saw (red handled I think) and a red handled set of loppers. They were both left at the bottom switchback we were working on. |

| Also, a HUGE thanks to everyone that showed up this morning - particularly to Bob and Marvin who spearheaded the whole operation. It was a wee-bit on the warm and humid side, but we still had about 9 people show up. So thanks again, everyone and look for additional work dates soon. |
