| I plan on coming from NKY down to Louisville one weekend but have no idea which trail to try. Give me your opinions on where I should go first and what you think is the best. I don't care if it's technical, flowing, climbing, downhill, whatever. I just want pure fun so I guess a combination of that would be good. Basically if you wanted someone to experience the best riding in Louisville, what would you recommend? |

| "Best" is a little subjective, but if you're looking at all relevant factors, I would vote for Waverly on a weekend day (Waverly park is off Arnoldtown Rd in Louisville) It's got a wide variety of terrain , good mileage, not too many people, not so far that you need to sell your first born to pay for gas, easy to ride without fear of getting lost and the trail-tread is generally quick to dry out. There isn't any running water or bathrooms in the park, so bring extra water and toilet paper. Also, if you get bored, there's plenty to see and do on the Dixie Highway. |

Waverly Park is flowy - Cherokee is techy - Duffield is true singletrack/DH fun Otter is Fast and the most scenic- Etown/ Younger's Creek is prolly the best all round riding. I would suggest Younger's Creek. 30-40 minutes from downtown Louisville. |

| If you've got a whole day, drive to a few of them or go to Brown County State Park near Nashville, IN and experience trail better than what we have here by a lengthy margin. |

If it has to be in Louisville, and you can only go to one, Waverly is it. Plenty of good options within 50 miles (in addition to others mentioned here: Capital View - SINKHOLES, killer climb @ the Archives, great variety) |

Within Jeff county Waverly is the only one. it is the XC race course. 3rd in the area IMO.
I perosnally like Duffield the best though. It has the most vareity as far as technical ability. You push your self as far as you dare to go there. Where else in KY can climb a steep tight techical Single track and then bomb DH and launch a dozen 2-3 foot ramps in a row? Or if you dare drop the 3-4-10 foot drops, or launch the insane gap jumps? So much to do there.
Otter is a very close second for it's speed and "epic" allure.

| The hobo trails off River Road. If youre lucky, they'll share some of their beans with you. |
