| It's wet. And that's a understatement. The only place to mtb around here right now is the lake trail. I'm likely to be there (192 trailhead) around 1. 606 438 7634. |

| Suprisingly good. There's alot of smaller limbs and stuff that have fallen on the trail, and a couple of wet spots, but not any mud. The sun peeked through after two pm or so, the trail actually seemed dryer on the way back. Should be good to go Monday. |

| We probably got around 3/4" of rain, so the lake trail should be fine for this weekend. It would be rideable today. I'll likely be out somewhere Friday night, and then at either Laurel or Turkeyfoot on Sunday. If any of ya'll plan on being out down here over the weekend, send me a email if you need any company. I'll post trail conditions (from somewhere) Saturday am.. |

I rode the lake trail this afternoon, Friday 3/21. It is in pretty good condition. There were a few wet spots but not to bad, also alot of small brush on the trail. Other than that it was a good ride. 3Z |

I rode at Turkeyfoot after lunch today. The creek(s) are all full to about bb level. The first mile or so from the campground towards 89 was pretty wet. Then after I crossed the creek a couple of times and started to climb I met about 30 people on horses. Had to get off the trail multiple times. After I crossed 89 the trail cleared back out; apparently the horse crowd had came in across Sparks Ridge (the gravel road running off 89 at the trailhead). I can't figure their route out, and I need to check it out on county maps; there might be a way to loop back to the campground here.
The horses did a decent job of messing up the trail. Probably about 30-40% of Cave Run level. (Turkeyfoot is a sandier environment than Cave Run, and probably harder to damage.) I expect that the trail will be restored to decent mtb riding level by noon tomorrow, by our local atv trail restoration specialists. (Sometimes mulituse is'nt so bad!)
Turkeyfoot will be rideable, but still partially wet. The lake trail should be in fine shape.
Ya'll come down here and see us.

I rode the Lake Trail today @ about 2 p.m. The trail was in very good cond. The creeks are running at about 6". There was a couple of short muddy spots but not to bad. I met some people on the trail that had come down from Indianapolis to ride for the weekend. Im glad the rain held off, it was a great day for a ride. 3Z |
