Wondering if anybody is smart enough to know whats wrong with my TV? It is a big screen Sony when you turn it on the stand-by light flashes and the TV will not come on. If you unplug it and plug it back up it will come on. At one time you could keep mashing the ON button on the remote and it would finally come on. Any ideas?

| If your tv is a projection lcd which it sounds like. The lamp has burned out. The cost for a new lamp is between 200 and 400 bucks. |

I used to work on T.V.'s about 10yrs ago for a business "Kwik Electronics" on Bardstown Rd in Buechel. Without seeing the T.V. it is hard to say but I can tell you that Kwik Electronics does good work and is 100% totally honest. They do service calls to your home. If you can't fix it yourself they are the ones to call.

| Sounds like it may just be time for a new remote. See if someones universal remote will turn it on after you get it in standby. At least try that first as it will be cheaper. |

It does it with the Sony remote, with the remote for the Dish Network and also if you push the power button on the TV. I will look and see if the TV has a reset button, that could help.
