why does the link from the kymba home page link up to what you see below. Why are all the other forums hidden and once you click 20+ links you'll finally see all the other links??
You wonder why marv didn't put his stuff in teh classifieds, well you don't see one below so how can you put one in there. I've only seen the other forums like once and can't figure out how to get back to viewing all of them. WTF is the deal with KYMBA always using these funky message boards that are a nightmare to move around on????

After clicking every link possible I clicked communities to find all the hidden forums. Why only show 5 under KYMBA and the rest under communities?? Show them all or don't show them not half at one link and all under another. |

RIC0, Let me do my best to explain this. Our company, BikeClicks, provides the KyMBA site at www.kymba.org. This site is intended to be the face of KyMBA for local riders finding out about KyMBA, etc. Eventually we'll help KyMBA manage things like membership, donations and advocacy, etc through that site. We do the same thing for other sites as well; OVCX, Team Louisville, USGP of Cyclocross, Tour of the Red River Gorge, Kenda Bike Fest, Texas Roadhouse Cycling, etc. and we have a lot more coming.
BikeClicks is a new community site that got kick started with KyMBA but will eventually include more than KyMBA. The concept is pretty simple. Many cyclists are members of more than one riding community. For example, I ride for Team Louisville, but I also race cross (OVCX), am a member of the Louisville Bicycle Club, am interested in the occasional century and ride mountain bikes in the summer. So my interests run across a number of groups within the larger local/regional cycling community. Until now, this meant I had to subscribe to many list servers and got hundred of emails a day about things not relevant to my specific interests. BikeClicks is an attempt to create a larger community using modern forums, classifieds, etc but also still allows for specific “neighborhoods” like KyMBA within what might eventually become a huge list of forums. The hope is that this will grow in time and we'll have a lot of active groups online sharing information with and across groups.
What we've done for KyMBA is add a section in the main forums for KyMBA along with all of the other forums. So, you can view the KyMBA posts from the main site. Additionally, if you just want to see "KyMBA" related posts you can navigate down under Communities, click on the KyMBA link and only see the KyMBA related information. We also thought this would be easier for people who find KyMBA.org for the first time, view some threads over there and want to post. If we landed them on the homepage of BikeClicks it might be even more confusing. You can also navigate directly to the KyMBA section using a url like: http://www.bikeclicks.com/Communities/KyMBA.aspx. We show the last posts from the KyMBA forum in a read only format on KyMBA.org to let people know that an active community exists for KyMBA and they can join in the conversation over on BikeClicks.
To navigate around the site, you can use the tabs at the top of the page for each major section. We've tried to lay things out so they make sense. If you have suggestions you can post them in the suggestion section. Of you need support you can post in the support section. Both of these are in the main forum at the top in the Welcome to the BikeClicks community section. You can also PM me anytime with suggestions to make the site better for everyone.
I'll post a more descriptive explanation on the KyMBA landing page that hopefully makes it easier for people coming over from KyMBA to understand it all.

| There's only one person who has a legitimate claim to the screen name Rico and his last name is Suave. Now man up and move on... |

| OK now people, I know this is a new site and some have a hard time getting around after getting used to the old site. but be patient, Steve is awesome at managing a web site, the fact he is responding to all the questions and complaints is way above the call of duty. The site has only been rebuilt from scratch a few weeks now, just give it time, there is a reason that Texas Roadhouse Team Louisville OCVX USGP and others are using BikeClicks,. That is because it is a professional and well managed site. Steve is listening and responding to suggestions, so try a little tact when you make a suggestion. This is not directed towards any one person just putting it out there before a lynch mob is formed. |

coming from someone who knows all too well - it takes a while to get site up and running smoothly. give it time. this could wind up being a very good thing for kymba. kymba very badly needs interaction with other communities.

I'll be honest, my initial thought was here we go again. Another website overhaul with a new interface to learn and navigate...... great. I, like many tend to forget the primary purpose of Kymba has been and always will be Trial Advocacy. As it should. That said, communication is the key to success and the club website/forum is the best vehicle for this. I started visiting this site to learn the basics of the sport and trail advocacy. In time I began making new friends and kidding around. So for me its been both educational as well as entertaining. For that I would like to thank those responsible for volunteering there time and efforts to the website. Scott, Jack thanks for a job well done. BikeClick WebGuy, thanks for being there and good luck! Sometime change is hard to accept but in time we all seem to adapt. |

I am sick and tired of Trial Advocacy! I mean, if Darryl Isaacs would take a case to trial instead of trying to $ettle EVERYTHING out of court then maybe he could learn how to work a jury instead of us MTBers always having to come to the rescue!! |

| I did not want or mean to come across as an A-hole I"m trying to make life easy for others that want to be part of Kymba and join this site. Simple is the way to go and in all honesty the sight is not simple to move around on. Not bashing anyone that built the site or works on it, just being honest and hope that it helps them make life easy for others. I"m pretty dam happy we have a KYMBA site again to be honest and thanks all of those that made it happen. |

Guys, Met with Dulin earlier today and we came up with a few things to help reduce confusion. The plan is: Point www.kymba.org to the KyMBA Page on BikeClicks. This will land people here first instead of the other site Remove the registration/login from the current MyMBA.org site. You'll only need to register on BikeClicks.com Change the "Latest Posts" so when you click them they keep you on the KyMBA page...right now they take you to the main forum and you sort of loose you place (I think this is a big area of confusion) You'll still be able to move up and around the other forums, get to classifieds, videos, etc. The KyMBA website will become essentially a interactive map showing projects around the state, and a series of KyMB blogs to help keep people up to speed. We'll link to that site from this section. |

another reason that some might not made the switch is depending on where the link pointed to, it would still not show up. My link was to the /index.htm or something. I tried and removed that section of my link before I found this site. It might be a good idea to just put a page out there in that place that says the site has moved to hymba.org or something. |

| Now when you type in www.kymba.org you go to a page that doesn't even have a link to the forums. I don't think it was like this yesterday. |
