If you have never done the LBL point to point race your missing out on a sweet ride/race. at 37 miles long it's as much a ride as it is a race at times. The weather was perfect. sunny and 50 at the start sunny and 70 at the finish. Not a great turn out but enough riders to keep it fun. I gave the woodnwave crew a little ribbing about the low turnout was due to not joining in the KPS. Maybe with a little nudge from everyone we can get LBL back on board next year more riders equals more fun and the likelihood the race will continue it's tradition. It was sweet.

I must have missed you rusty. It was my first race in sport and it kicked my arse. It was a fun race,but I started to bonk with 7 miles left (of 25). I was freezing at the begining and burning up at the end. It was hard tearing off armwarmers and headgear during the race. They have some sweet singletrack out there. I'm definately going to be back for White lighting.

rusty, I thought I caught a glimpse of you as we were loading up to leave. I agree.... It would be nice to get the two races back in the ky series. After all, it is arguably some of the sweetest single-track in the entire state. I understand the relationship with TMBA. Nashville and the surrounding area is a huge market. Is there a rule that a race cant be affiliated with more than one series? The field was much larger last year. I wondered if the low turn out was part in due to the concern of trail conditions? No doubt the north south trail was back county flavor but the last 12 or so was nicely groomed. Props to the wnw guys for getting it done. Maybe some are concerned with the logistics of a point to point? If so, they shouldn't be. There's plenty of people willing to help, all you have to do is ask. Patrick, it was cool to see you and Paul move up to Sport. I hope you guys weren't discouraged... that was a long race. I rode behind you guys long enough to know you have the speed and skills to compete.

There are no hard fast rules about who's race is in what series. Just like Ohio this year we did a KPS race in OH and they did a CoRa race in the ville. It just help attract riders from other states as does TN riders coming to LBL. Let em know we want em back in the KY series, and remind them they are not in TN. ;>

ricdix: I had a great time. Paul and I had a good race. I was going stong, I just didn't eat well before the race. I guess I need to change my nightime/morning rituals. See you guys at the next season!
