(#1)
If you're following TWL, MEK, and me down the trail (you're damn slow), those are'nt underseat toolbags.
It's our prostates.
Just sayin'. |

#2 Used to be, after a big race, I could tell you my split times. Now I try to remember where I parked my truck. Just sayin'. |

Joyous things I have done past 45 (47 now): 1. Endo(s) 2. Switched to single speed (I can't do "I think I Can" on it, so I give myself a pass on one climb per trail if necessary) 3. My first 50 miler (road). Shooting for a century soon. |

Barf.
I just turned 56. I'm absolved from ever having to learn how to bunny-hop.
And you can have my multiple gears when they pry my cold dead fingers off the trigger shifters.
Two weeks ago I rode the OKHT. 48 miles down on Saturday and 62 miles up on Sunday. I was pretty proud of that.
I'm still planning on doing a first-timers mountain bike race, after which I will retire. I figure I will have a lock on podiuming in my age group.
BTW, I'm thinking of doing the Harvest Homecoming ride on Sunday. Beautiful but brutal, lots of hills, many more hills per mile than OKHT. Anyone else up to it? |

I already have plans or I would. Let me know of any upcoming and I'll try. I have another old fart that would probably go on a Saturday.
Nice work on the OKHT. We went to the CKW ride in E-town last Saturday. Very nice ride. For $8 you got a ride, t-shirt, 2 SAGs, and lunch. Can't beat it! Only 100 or so riders (about a dozen on the 50 miler)

| I'll be 40 next year, but that is my seat bag. Funny how your a kid 40 seemed like "OLD" don't seem that way as I approach it. |

| Actually 40 is starting to look pretty damn young. You young whippersnappers are starting to get on my nerves. |
