| If we have enough trails at Obannon by then, you should add that to. It is just as close the ville as otter. |

| It sounds like something that could really put KY on the map. Would need a lot of volunteers, advertisements, and sponsors but could be a good goal for next year. |

I was thinking of a 3 day event. With STX TT XC and maybe a marathon xc there would have to be incentive to do all 3. ie big cash prizes. This would have to be a big group effort. Totally possible with enough help. It would need big sponsorship. There is no reason that a group of 5-10 people couldn't pull it off with enough volunteers and still be able to make a buck or two |

Good idea! Plus! By then gas will be 7.00 a gallon and racer could see the economics in it. 3 or 4 races all located close togegher. Do it. |

| I've thought about posting a thread on kymba for years now inquiring about this. I would love it. AJ and I have had a couple Otter/duff days with the thought of continuing on to Wave. I thought a three stage race would be the biz. |

A stage race is a really cool idea. Multi day events certainly attract more roadies to races - especially with travel costs on the rise. I have to believe the same would hold true for a mountain bike race.
WebGirl and I just did the Red River Gorge stage race and camped in the registration parking lot for three days (in the Airstream). It was sweet. Took the kids, the dog, all our crap, and a teammate or two.
Every morning I woke up, made coffee, said good morning to the officials and lounged around until my race. Even got to crash or take naps between races. |
