Well it was a tough call but after talking with Metro Parks and several racers I had to make the call to push the race back one week to June 29th. due to the likelihood of muddy conditions. I think it is in the best interest to retain our good relationship with Metro Parks and the community. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please pass this information along to anyone you know who planned to race, volunteer or spectate. Lets hope for good weather next week, as of now the forcast looks good and we can enjoy a fast dry course. Thanks for your understanding

That is really disapointing, I was really looking forward to racing in Louisville. Too bad the reschedule is the same day as East Fork in Cincinnati.

I feel for you guys. Down here in the Southeast corner, a muddy trail brings out more users.......ATVs. I understand your guy's point about keeping Metro Parks happy. Got to have trails to ride. I have an old motocross practice track on a hillside that was logged. You are more than welcome to move the race to it. I don't know where ever body would park, in the road I guess. Short lap times about 3/8 mile long, nothing flat either climbing or descending and as a bonus you can ride by a old meth lab site. Now how many XC races go by an old meth lab? I need a race date next year. Good luck next weekend.

Good to keep things running smooth in the 'ville. Unfotunetly it is summer and we have a tight schedule. I will be out of state next weekend. Saturday would be doable though. I was really looking forward to this race too. Good luck next weekend. I sincerly appreciate the email notifications as well. That takes some effort and time.

I think it was good call to, not just to keep things good with Olmstead, but for the impact on the trails as well. We done alot of work at Cherokee over the last year, and I would hate to see that all undone. Having races in mud does have a lasting impact on the trail that somebody has to repair.
Thanks for making the right call, there is plenty of summer left to have the race.

Great call Rusty, I took a real good digger at my home trail with my dog and I was kinda iffy about racing, you saved an argument with my wife about going. BTW, John and Kevin is the same person in the 40-49 expert, I don't think you need to worry about me catching you in points as one person, besides i'm a ss at heart, so whenever there is a cat for that i'm in.

Awesome! I'll take the spot of Tony... good luck at East Fork Tony... I've ridden there a few times with my bro and it's a great time... reminds me of Waverly...but a much longer drive to get there..and no ATV tracks...
