| I noticed there is no flier for this race. until recently i did not know where Cherokee was. I need some info so i can at least get over ride the place. Where will the race start and finish? Where is this location in the park? Is it an easy trail course to follow? What direction will the course go? Sure would appreciate some help. |

Should have a flashy lil flier on the site this weekend. But to let everybody know the basic stuff it goes 4laps expert 3sport 2beginner. No usa/norba/uci/wcw/wnba license required. 25 bucks to race. same start times as Duffield 11am expert etc. there will be kids races too. the flier will lists all the small details etc. 2wheelsSports is hosting the race and if you were at the Duffield race or any road race within 200 miles you know how well they run an event.
oh and the series results are updated as well as a few omited race ages from Duffield. And Sorry Aaron you really were 6th in the super d despite the first result posting. All results are up and corrected.

I will try to explain it as best I can. Starting in Frisbee Field you
will make your way up towards hogans fountain then crossing the road
and heading up to the tennis court area then down toward the "no net "
trail. exit no net and cross the road/bridge and left to the bird
santuary trail. follow that to the KyMBA downhill. at the end of the
Kymba downhill you will cross the road and ride through the Archery
range trail then right up "nates" trail (runs partially by a fence
line) that connects you to the trail that takes you up to the cochran
hill trail. cross the road then down the cochran hill trail "by the new
dog park" the make your way back to frisbee field. approx 6 mile loop.
hope that helps. see ya at the race |

| If anyone would like to race Cherokee at no charge please contact kypointseries@gmail.com and include your phone#. To race for free you will need to provide someone to post up at one of the road crossings and make sure that cars, pedestrians and road cyclists yield to racers. Should not be any longer than 4hrs. If you can talk your spouse in to setting up a lawnchair a cooler and help racers cross safely, it would be greatly appreciated. "the new paydirt" |

A COUPLE QUESTIONS THAT CAME UP LAST NIGHT:
Posted By russell g on 06/11/2008 11:02 PM I will try to explain it as best I can. Starting in Frisbee Field you will make your way up towards hogans fountain (ARE YOU USING THE PAVED WALKING PATH? OR GOING TO THE RIGHT (SWAMP LAND) AROUND TO THE PAVEMENT?)IN OTHER WORDS ... HOW DO WE GET FROM FRISBEE TO HOGANS TRAIL?) then crossing the road and heading up to the tennis court area then down toward the "no net " trail. exit no net and cross the road/bridge and left to the bird santuary trail. follow that to the KyMBA downhill. at the end of the Kymba downhill you will cross the road and ride through the Archery range trail (THIS IS THE BOTTOM ROOTY TRAIL CORRECT?) then right up "nates" trail (runs partially by a fence line) that connects you to the trail that takes you up to the cochran hill trail. cross the road then down the cochran hill trail "by the new dog park" the make your way back to frisbee field. approx 6 mile loop. hope that helps. see ya at the race

| On the flier, it says 'kids races following beginner race'. Will the kids race start shortly after the beginner race starts, or when the beginner racers are finished? I want to bring my kids to race, but I'm thinking about doing the 1st timers race, also. |

| A guy that works in the park showed me around based on the directions by Rusty. I would say we nailed the course. I do not recall a "bottom rooty trail" The only part that did seem like we missed was the start. SO HOW DOES the course start? How do we get out of the Frisbee field? I want to do a pre-ride that morning say around 7 AM. Will the start area be taped off by then? If so what direction should i aim. THANKS FOR THE HELP |

Does this factor into your race strategy Marv? Anyway, according to certain people that were "responsible" for the 13 hours of Cherokee, NOBODY EVER publishes the course route ahead of time. I think Rusty has already said wayyyy too much. |
