Is the clydesdale class still offered at KyMBA races? Hadn't seen any results. I think I read that no points was going to be awarded, I thought may still have the class.

tbra races still have them. larger groups as well. i haven't seen any results either. i think ft duffield might have been the first race that had a class outside the kymba defined classes (single speed).

First I want to clarify that the KyPointSeries is not a KyMBA affiliated body. It's just me and a some of my buddies who decided to get the KPS back on track. I came up with the whole points/class/start time/payout format. So feel free to blame me for the new format. KyMBA is strictly about trail advocacy, trail work and a voice for mtn bikers. I know, I know I excluded alot of people by not having a clydesdale, singlespeed and other classes. I bet the singlespeed riders who weigh over 200 really hate me. But I just wanted to try and simplify the series as much as possible, and mostly because there has been very little and sometimes no participants in both of these classes over the past few years. I have heard the requests and plan to add these classes to the series next year. Individual races may still offer both of these classes and many have. I apologize if I alienated anyone this year it was not my intent. Next year I gotta figure a way to get paid to do this ( I kid ) I have heard your request and will consider any and all constructive input.

I understand what you mean about low turnout in clyde and SS classes. I done 3 races in 2005 and 4 or 5 was the most on clyde class. How about some love for the cyclist that love a supersized Double Quarter Pounders value meal. Just kidding, I just didn't notice the class in the results and was just wondering.

It's all good Creeping Death. Now when I do add the supersize class I want to see you and all the other Clydes in force at the local races. As for this year I think it would be a good idea to talk with one of the upcoming race promoters about a 1 race Clydesdale Championship race. they usually do payouts by the pound with a scale on site. Ask tonybob about what he thinks.

well i'm not a clyde anymore under normal circumstances. since I was laid up for 5 months with the knee. I ain't back to my usual summer cycling weight and fitness. thinking about doing a MTB race when I get more endurance and the knee is stronger. Maybe the BGSG at capital view, if I'm still over 200lbs.

wow thats the first time i've ever felt like i could relate to a post this much. I ate a double quater pounder yesterday for lunch.....damn was i hungry. And i weight over the 200lbs mark and occasionally find myself riding the ss. Great to hear you aren't taking comments to heart rusty. Constructive critisim is def. a good thing. This has been the most organized the series has been since i've been around it. Rusults getting posted and series standings getting adjusted this quick is def. a huge step in the right direction. |

I talked to somebody from Western KY that was wearing a Wood-N-Wave kit. He said he usually rode a SS, but was riding his wife's F/S bike for BBR.

probably jake stone. I know jake stone and derek harris went down last year from wood-n-wave. I think he usually rides a red niner ss, but his wife lets him use her bike ocasionally. I think she rides a gary fisher cake, maybe. I will be in a rivercity cannondale kit this year. you may have seen me at tour de london last year. Only guy in the wood n wave kit there for the crit race. got pulled pretty quick though.
