i ran a set on some easton monkey lights for a couple years. didn't even think about it until one of my teamates asked me if i had any problems out of em on carbon bars. Just don't overtighten and you should be good. The stem area on the bar is reinforced so it can take a little more torque but the grip section isn't so go easy. i never had any trouble with them spining or cracking the bars. Come to think of it. Thats now what i have on a set of flat ec 90 bars. So 2 sets of my easton bars have had lock on grips.

I use ODI lock on grips. Be sure to make the screws are very loose if you should remove the grips so you don't scratch the fibers. The Easton has some pdf files that show you how to cut the ends.

I use the ODI lock-ons on carbon bars. No issues yet after a year. |

Lock-ons are OK, but bar ends are not.

There are actually some carbon bars with reinforced ends that are bar-end compatible. I know syntace makes one.

Duane, I've seen it done and this type is probably the best option to try carbon+bar end, but all that leverage onto the outer edge of a carbon bar is kind of asking for it. YMMV.
