	Joel NelsonLooking at the radar, I'm seeing a band of rain moving in right now. 6:26 PM Today Darin JettThe trails were nice but it started sprinkling while I was there. I got 3.4 miles in before heading home. The trails are damp but firm and my tires barely leave a tread mark and I never hit any thing close to mud. 10:08 PM Today

Was Cherokee rideable this past weekend?

Joel NelsonI don't know. I'm in J-Town too. I took the dog out at 10:30, and it had rained. I woke up this morning, and it looked like it had rained overnight.

Chuck ClarkCherokee was very mushy over weekend as previous posts show. Sections of it were definitely rideable, but many, many were not and we hike-a-bike or didn't even try. Freeze-thaw occurred. It may be a bit better today as it didn't freeze last night.

Joel NelsonI'm going to give it a go. If I get even 25% trail, I'll be happy. If it's too wet, I'll walk the dog instead.

Billy DavisCherokee was PERFECT! today. Amazing what one night of no freeze thaw can do. For all that missed today.....you missed the first sweet ride of 2010. Good news is there will be plenty more!

Joel NelsonYeah, it was waaaaay good today. I was surprised how dry it was. Even the bird sanctuary and all those other low-lying areas were dry. The wettest part for me was the climb up to Hogan's Fountain and a mud hole at the base one of the No-Net waterfalls (the trail here was good, by the way). I was surprised how few people were out.

Chuck ClarkCherokee wasn't much better between 12-2. Some sections were tacky to excellent and then you hit a huge mud slick. We ended up 75% road, 25% trail. If it doesn't rain tonight, tomorrow afternoon will be good time to ride the race loop. Wilderness Loop will take some time to dry.

I walked the dog thru Cherokee just a short time ago. Seemed large sections were dry and really good, then you would come to sections that were nasty, I could bearly stand up on them. The work that was done over Saturday looked good.
