As Brad and I washed our bikes at my house we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the weather was and decided to spin over to Cherokee. A shout out to Jim Whaley and we were off to meet him at Big Rock around 1 PM on a super nice, sunny, April afternoon. We picked up Purvis in route, and somehow all ended up at the rendezvous point at the same time. As we set off, Mitch, fresh off a lung busting, Rustinski-pace, Cycler’s Cafe training ride, joined our troupe. The trails were in great shape, and I was feeling pretty good, so I took the lead and just let her go. It was one of those days when you remember how much you love this, the bike disappears, and you just seem to float over the trail.
