Hello All, Bob's Red Mill/Rocky Mountain and Mountain Bike Depot & Cross Supply have once again teamed up to bring a new event to Louisville. Bend is a long way from Louisville, and not everyone can make it out there (Good Luck Redzoners!), but, if you still have that cross bug, you have one last chance before packing it up. We bring you Cyclo-Claus 2009. It will be held Sunday, December 20th at Briar Hill Park. It is a new venue to the cyclocross scene, but has all the ingredients to make for great racing and spectating. This is a fun, family oriented event and all are invited to come enjoy the day. This is also a time of year to think of others, and we will be offering reduced entrance fees to those that bring either a toy for Toys for Tots, or a backpack for Blessings in a Backpack. These are both great organisations, and we hope that we can provide some help. We also ask if anyone has any holiday lawn ornaments, inflatable (insert holiday item), Christmas trees, Menorahs, reindeer, anything, bring it on out Saturday. We will have Pre-registration available at Mountain Bike Depot in the Westport Village, and there will be a $5 day-of fee. Course set-up will take place Saturday night, and all help is welcome. We will post more details here and on our website, www.mountainbikedepot.net Thanks everyone, and we look forward to it! |

Shameless Plug: CapCity (Columbus) is also having their last race of the season that day, if you are in the area, visiting family, etc. http://www.capcitycross.com/09/lobdell.html |

Love, love, love this! I'm definitely planning on racing. Aaron, email me a 300 x 250 version of your flyer and we'll run it for you as a banner ad. |

Bob Cross (Oh so fitting..!) from Toys for Tots informed us that they could especially use toys for infants - age 3 and children ages 10 - 14! We also will accept gently used backpacks for Blessings in a Backpack in exchange for half-price registration!

Hmmm, seeing as how we live right up the hill in Briar Hill Estates maybe we can convince Chrissy to have an end of the season get together (party) afterwards. |

The Cap City finale is on Saturday, Dec 19. Their end of season party is on the 20th. I maybe in Louisville this Saturday and may register. Where is the MTB Depot? I'll be in the Highlands at Baxter Ave and Bardstown Rd so I would need directions from there. |

2 days til Cyclo-Clause!!!
We'll be taping the course tomorrow. This thing is going to
be killer fun, a very unique racing experience that will reward both finesse
and power. The Dreidel of Doom, Candy Cane Chicane, and lots of other obstacles
based on puns will be present. There will also just be some straight up cx
nastiness.
Don’t worry about not being on top form. This event is all
about having a great time with friends doing what we all love the most: riding
in circles until we puke! (and heckling).
Day of registration is accepted, but stop by Mountain Bike
Depot to pre-register and receive a $5 discount. Bring a toy to for Toys for
Tots or a backpack for Blessings in a Backpack when you register for a further
$5 discount.
The event is being held at Briar Hill Park with the first
race going off at 10 and the last race going off at 2:30.
See this link for a flyer and more info. http://www.mountainbikedepot.net/2009/12/cyclo-claus-2009_05.html
Course set-up will begin Saturday at 9 and should be done by
early afternoon. Any help would be much appreciated.
See you all at the race! |

An excellent course - loved the singletrack, hated* the soupy stuff after the Dreidel of Doom. A fun way to end my first season of bike racing. Thanks, guys!
* - and by hated, I mean loved

Had a great time! I did, however, have nightmares of being chased through a muddy field by a 7ft tall cardboard gingerbread man trying to get me to have some egg nog. Mark |

Had a fun time, even with frozen feet. Driedel of Doom was best course feature I saw this year, tops the green monster! Hopefully next year more people will come out to your event. |
